Cold water works as a stressor, thus stimulating noradrenaline to be released, and here comes the energy rush! Instead of jumping in a cold shower, try running your hands over cold water. Now, I love me a good mojito, but believe it or not, there have been studies that show that just the smell of mint has lead to a peak in energy, thus motivating people to exercise for longer durations. Using mint flavored lotions, or even products that incorporate eucalyptus will also do the trick.
